Lessons and Training

Lessons are booked as 1 hour increments, however please note that the length of lesson is determined by the goals of the lesson. No shorter than 30 minutes, and generally no longer than 1 hour, this allows flexible time for accomplishing what the rider and/or horse needs.

Jen also specializes in starting young horses and giving them a firm foundation, but is also happy to take horses that need tune-ups. Whether it is a longeing, riding, or groundwork session, Jen believes that there are many training methods help develop a well balanced, well-mannered horse. She employs the techniques she has learned in studying equine behavior, as well as her riding career, to ensure that each horse has a program tailored to it.

Packages

Purchased at the beginning of the month, these packages are custom made for the horse and/or rider. Starting with just 1 (one) lesson or training session a week, up to 5 (five) per week, you can decide what number works for you. These are billed by the month and do not carry over to the next month. If a horse is in training with Jen, these packages also include mane pulling, face trimming, holding for the farrier, as well as any medical services necessary (bandaging, dosing medications, injections, etc.)Please note that any body clipping services are billed separately with or without a purchase of a package.

Showing

Jen loves to take clients to shows! Please inquire about show schedules and what you are interested in.

Coaching fee (per day) $75

Schooling rides at show- $40

Care fee (Feeding, Stall cleaning, grooming, etc) $40

Where necessary, hotel rooms and travel expenses will be billed at cost and divided pro-rata among all clients participating in the show.
